Join Rachel Salley, the creator of our hand-shaped wares for our HEARTH dinner series, for a therapeutic approach to artful clay-shaping with nature. Her grounding approach to working with clay will connect you deeply with the earth. Using your hands and nature’s tools, you will design and create two pieces to take home- one an artful, air-dried piece ready at the end of the workshop and the other a piece for a single kiln fire you can pick up the following week.
During the workshop we will wander the farm together and gather farm botanical remnants that will go into your piece. Together, we will create imperfectly hand pinched work- bowls, spoons, plates, vases, candlestick holders, or whatever we are inspired towards.
Rachel’s approach to working with clay is accessible and enjoyable for all. This workshop is open to people ages 16 and older.
