A course to nurture the arts and creativity of children age 7-12.
Join us Thursdays for a 10-week arts-focused program that teaches improvisational theater and puppetry, culminating in a pageant performed during our TASTE! Milpa Festival in November. Each week’s lesson integrates farming practices and preparation of a snack to share.
Sample daily schedule:
9:00 — Greeting/Chores Sign-up
9:15 — Theater Games
9:45 — Improv Lessons and Activities
10:15 — Snack Break
10:30 — Papier Mache Puppet Making and Pageant Practice
11:30 — Free Play and Snack Prep
12:00 — Lunch
12:30 — Farm Team Awesome (Practical Farm Experience)
1:10 — Free Play
1:40 — Clean-up and Gratitude Circle
2:00 — Close
Milpa! Puppet Theater will run weekly on Thursdays from 9 am - 2 pm.
